After completion of the treatment the skin looks deeply hydrated and there is usually no irritation. If in some cases there is redness, we use the head, known as a 'cold hammer' which has soothing properties and calms the irritation on the skin.
In general, Hydra is considered quite safe. However, if you have very sensitive skin with severe allergic reactions or a chronic dermatological problem, it is advisable to talk to your dermatologist before having a treatment. Also, in case of active acne with inflammatory lesions, a different approach may be needed.
If the skin is not irritated, you can apply make-up after a few hours. However, it is best to let the skin "breathe" for the rest of the day to fully enjoy the freshness of the treatment.
Ideally, it is good to have clean skin before the session. Avoid intense sunbathing or anything that may irritate the skin (e.g. home exfoliation) right before your appointment.
The frequency depends on your skin type and its needs. Usually, one session per month is ideal for maintaining results, your esthetician can customize the schedule based on your situation.
